CHUVA Group Presents The Hands that Touched a King… The Exhibition

CHUVA group recently hosted “The Hands that Touched a King…The Exhibition” which introduced world-renowned celebrity hair stylist, Lynda Parrish and her techniques to Atlanta.  The exclusive event was presented at the ultra-posh Havana Club in Buckhead and was one of the most private, unique and memorable events Atlanta has ever experienced.

Lynda is one of the most sought-after hair stylists in the world.  She was the personal hair stylist for Michael Jackson for the past four years and became a close friend and confidant to the late, great “King of Pop”.  Lynda recently joined CHUVA group’s newest expansion, beyondSALON, specializing in wigs and extensions.

Parker Geiger, CEO and Founder of CHUVA group, brings 25 years experience in image training and professional development.  Parker led the unveiling by discussing the company and the core philosophy and how the philosophy ties in with Lynda Parrish and the display of her hair styling techniques on Michael Jackson’s hair unit.  Parker mentioned that this is an opportunity of a lifetime and is proud and honored to be a part of history.

Parker had the privilege to introduce Lynda Parrish at which time Lynda announced the creation of Live Your New Day Always Foundation, L.Y.N.D.A. Foundation, a new effort dedicated to aiding burn survivors and a continuation of Michael Jackson’s legacy.  “The creation of this foundation pays tribute to Michael’s struggles following his own burn injury and to his unyielding compassion for others,” explained Lynda Parrish.  “With L.Y.N.D.A. Foundation, I hope to foster in others the passion for philanthropy, positivity and love for all that Michael fostered in me.”

The event concluded with the unveiling of the actual hair unit worn by the incomparable Michael Jackson during the announcement of the “This Is It” concert series.  The hair unit was displayed atop a custom mixed-metals bust, world famous Atlanta sculptor, Charlie Smith’s homage to both Michael Jackson’s legacy and “King of Pop’s” impact on his own life.  Afterwards, Lynda mentioned that the unveiling was so tasteful and respectful that Michael Jackson himself would have approved.

It was an amazing event that CHUVA group is very proud to have hosted.  For more pictures, please see the photo gallery.

Lynda Parrish

Lynda Parrish’s composed demeanor and classic look has made her one of the most sought after hairstylists in the world. She has developed a client list that most hairstylists would ever dream of having. That includes the late great “King of Pop” Michael Jackson and all-time tennis champion Serena Williams.

Lynda began developing an affinity for hairstyling in her hometown of Washington, D.C. It didn’t take long before she realized that is her gift and calling. She attended high school and after graduating, she went to beauty school while simultaneously earning a cosmetology license. She had no idea where her gift was going to take her. Lynda continues to travel the world, working with musical artists, athletes and she is a stalwart of print and advertising agencies.

As a young adult, she lived in New York City where her sense of style and glamour created and continues to influence her to this day. She was trained by one of New York’s most prominent and preeminent hairstylists, John Atchinson. She also trained at the Vidal Sassoon Academy in London, England. She returned to Washington, D.C. and immediately started working in some of the most prominent salons that placed her in a setting that would showcase her styling ability.

Since the passing of her most famous client, Michael Jackson, Lynda has re-dedicated herself to her profession and her calling. She doesn’t plan to stop with just hair designing and cutting. She’s creating her own line of jewelry, perfumes and colognes. Lynda now lives in Atlanta, Georgia where she also advises and consults with clients on their image development. You can book your appointment with Lynda by calling 678.705.3990.
