As you may already know, TMZ.COM just posted the first post-release video footage of Casey Anthony .
What you may not know is that this was set up by Casey Anthony and her team herself for a fast buck – and TMZ had to know it. (Of course, there’s also a chance this is a xint Anthony look-alike, but that’s another story.) Why?
1) Anyone who shoots or edits video can easily spot the tells that reveal this woman knows she’s being recorded. The cameraman also didn’t use the type of telephoto lens that could zoom in close enough to catch Anthony at that resolution without revealing himself. Anthony would have had to have seen him.
2) The cameraman also caught her at two separate, broad-daylight locations, but didn’t reveal any in-between footage, or capture the license plate of any car or house she ended up entering. THAT footage would have been worth way more money to TMZ.
3) Moreover, Anthony’s also very self-conscious, but in a pleased way. Like she’s in charge, rather than afraid of being spotted. Note how neutral and unrevealing the footage is?
4) And lastly, please, why would Anthony choose to walk and shop in broad daylight ALONE, wearing nothing but a minimal disguise anyone could see through? Because she wants TMZ to see it’s really her so they’ll pay the big $$$. (Other b-list celebrities do this kind of thing all the time.)
The problem is that telling boycotters to go on TMZ.COM to leave negative comments would be just what they crave. TMZ.COM lives for online foot-traffic; they don’t care how negative the comments are. It’s how they make their advertising dollars.
BUT TMZ.COM is no down-and-dirty independent website and TV show. It’s a front owned by Warner Brothers Entertainment (TIMES/WARNER), which very much cares how they are perceived.

Owning, but hiding their connection to, smaller yellow journalism businesses is a common practice for media corporations all over the world. Networks and movie studios need to maintain their clean image as well as foster good relations with the celebrities that are most often the victims of these gossip-mongering sites. This way they can profit from all the dirt, but publicly still decry the fall of journalism ethics. Rotten, no?
Now that boycotters have scared the networks out of making deals with Anthony directly, it’s clear they’re going to use their shell companies to do it. I hope we all can stop them before they pay Anthony again.

CA Boycotters need to let them know we’re on to them, that they can’t escape our boycott by hiding behind front operations. However, I’m not sure how far you want to go with this. There’s no easy solution with these media corps. and their long arms. I will leave it to you and your volunteers to cull it all down, decide how best to proceed. I’m still sick, so must go now.
